We know content management inside out, which is why we created our own content management package, Assanka Outline. With the latest release of version 2, we have listened to users and focused our development efforts on the features that they wanted to see.
Outline already has an established reputation amongst our clients as an incredibly easy and effective way of managing websites, and in many cases this has resulted in a massive increase in publishing frequency - updates that were occurring months apart now happen every day. And since Outline is an Assanka product from the ground up, it integrates seamlessly with our site management toolkit.
Outline's ease of use was carefully guarded during our development of version 2, and the finished product manages to provide many of the features that clients have been asking for, without significantly increasing the training requirements.
Digital Assets
Clip a piece of content, store it in the asset library, and use it wherever you like. Every occurrence of the content is linked back to the original, and when you change the asset, Outline updates all your pages automatically. Digital Assets spell an end to repetitive content.
Editorial Control
Giving someone the ability to write content for the website doesn't mean giving them free reign over what they can publish. With editorial control, you can easily define groups of authors and publishers, and keep control over your content.
Version Control
All gone wrong? With a complete history of every edit made to a page, it's impossible to lose vital information once it's safely secured in Outline. In a matter of seconds a page can be reverted to any previous version.
Difference Engine
Quickly and clearly identify the parts of a page that have been changed between revisions, slashing the time required for reviewing and copy-editing.
Image Editor
Integrated online image editing removes the need for additional software. Just upload photos directly from a digital camera, and resize them in Outline.
File Browser
All files related to the site, whether actually in use or not, are stored in Outline's file library, allowing multiple authors and publishers to collaborate over producing content, and providing a single repository for all working files.
